About Me

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Age: 49

Marital Status: Divorced, two children

Religion: Christian values

Primary Education: Our Lady of Providence and Lindbergh High School – St. Louis, MO

Occupation:  The first nine years of my professional life I spent working on, and supervising crews, rebuilding jet aircraft engines for the US Navy and then as a civilian for the Department of Defense while attending college.  I spent the remainder of my professional life until 2003 (when not blacklisted) in the field of Quality Assurance as an engineer/supervisor/manager/director, both as an employee and contractor for several industries from small privately owned businesses to Fortune 50 companies.

For those of you wondering what Quality Assurance Management personnel do, briefly we’re the people who do what politicians are supposed to do:

·         We make sure contracts are fulfilled correctly and put systems in place to assure that they are.

·         We define the true problems and gather the expertise together to not only solve the problem, but also put changes in place to assure it doesn’t arise again to the best of possibility.

·         We assist in providing vision to continually strive to make systems more efficient, taking into account new technology, future needs and objectives. This applies to both administration and processes.

As your Governor, I would continue to represent the needs and expectations of the individual and the public interest as a whole, not the personal interests of fellow politicians and corporate greed.  My stance is not anti-business.  The present non-enforcement of corporate crime adds to the destruction of our honest stateside businesses, sending our jobs, economic safety, and future opportunities for our children oversees as technology forces us into a global economy.  We can compete and win in a global economy without diminishing the American middle class lifestyle, but only if you elect those that have the courage and honesty to do so.

REASONS FOR RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR

I’m running because I can do the job and I’m honest.  How do you know I’m honest?  What I didn’t tell you in the above biography is the interaction I've had with the US government as a private citizen. Like most of you confronted or forced to commit fraud in our daily corporate and government working lives, I've had to stand up twice in matters of damage to our economy and the safety of Americans citizens.

Those that have known me all my life in the south county area and around St. Louis area might say I'm somewhat unique in regard to politics. I'm a two-time federal whistle-blower. The amazing part is that I'm still alive and not in jail, despite three direct attempts on my life and so many harassment torts of threats; illegal terminations; legal and medical malpractice; psychological and physical assaults; obstruction of justice; judicial malpractice; illegal detainment on false affidavits; and violations of my human, Constitutional, and civil rights I've lost count. Through all these assaults and defamation, I have not lifted one finger in anger or made one direct threat. You can't fight fascism with violence. They own weapons and the bagdes to use and abuse them.  You can only confront it with words and patience, trying to get the truth and reality to a frightened and misinformed public.

If you think our law enforcement and judicial systems work like "CSI" and "Law and Order", I invite you to leave the couch and visit one of our fine courts for a few days.  Don't bring any kind of camera though; they are strictly not allowed. American citizens aren't allowed to photograph or film the corruption in our everyday "public" courts; but the government and corporations are allowed to film us in every workplace, office building, store, park, intersection, and even public bathrooms and private hotel rooms. Yet recording how our laws are enforced and applied, the very fabric of our "free and democratic system", is prohibited. Doesn't seem quite right, does it?

I would like to be all smiles and all politically correct and positive; but I have nothing positive to say about representatives, attorney generals and Governors who allow the testing of US bio-weapons and deliberately poison my family, friends and fellow  Missouri citizens for corporate profit and reduced retirement liability. Unless you have read the "US Bio-Weapons Program" section, I realize you don't know what I'm talking about.  It would be worth your time to do so.

Dozens of people who have know me for decades have suggested I run for office.  While I find the way politics are conducted in present America distasteful, Americans do need a choice of someone honest and competent at the voting booth.  I've dealt with, and fought through, corporate government harassment and obstruction for years. I know technology and where we need to be for Missouri to compete for jobs in the future. I'm not a "tree hugger", but the health effects from environmental and industrial toxins continue to escalate the cost of our healthcare system and degrade the quality of life for an increasing number of Missourians in our urban areas. This deliberate trend must be reversed.

Those who know me say I'm a fart smeller..... I mean smart feller. You have to maintain a sense of humor when dealing with the government.  I'm not anti-American; I just tell it like it is. If I don't know a subject, I ask questions and gather the necessary information until I can form an informed conclusion. Sixty percent of Americans don't trust our government and admit it.  Another twenty percent don't and won't. We wave a flag and claim the United States is a “democratic” republic.  No we’re not, are these clowns wouldn’t still be in office. They would have been forced out a long time ago. We have a President with an IQ of 91 that doesn't care what America, the Congress, or the courts think; he knows what's best - Uh huh. The Congress gives a tough talk; then walks, doing nothing.  It’s good cop – bad cop. It's a game and a show, and it's gotten old.

For example: the Congress voted on whether they should have a vote of "no confidence" on the US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.  The Congress didn't have enough confidence that the President with the 91 IQ would get rid of his AG if a majority voted "no confidence" in him - making Congress look helpless and further diminishing the 29 percent approval of those who still have any confidence left in the President.  So Congress voted not to vote - leaving the public with no confidence in Congress, the President or the Attorney General.  They voted not to vote - another couple of hundred thousand dollars of taxpayer money wasted. If they weren't in control of our security, health, environment, healthcare, immigration policy, licensing, permits, taxes etc.....this zoo would be a comedy series.  Actually it is – Lil’ Bush.  Now we can sit around and laugh at how stupid and criminal they are, while they laugh at us because we know it and are helpless to do anything about it. Whose got the last laugh?

I assure you our State Congress in Missouri is no different.  The same week they advertised the new law requiring you to wear seat belts for "your" safety (as opposed to decreased liability for insurance companies), they were voting on a law to legally ride motorcycles in Missouri without a helmet. Maybe the motorcycle manufacturing industry pays bigger campaign contributions than the insurance company; I’m not sure.  Seriously, can someone explain this to me?  That's the other problem.  Our present government and judges don't feel they have to explain or discuss anything, especially blatant violations of the law committed by them. Where I governor, I'd be asking questions of the Missouri legislature and giving answers to the public.

Why am I running for Missouri Governor?  I'm running to make the law a part of our legal system again, and put truth and common sense back in leadership. I'm running to improve the infrastructure of our state and lure high tech jobs to a clean and efficient state in the center of our country.  I'm running to protect the health of you and your family so the wealth you accumulated your entire life is not extorted in the last six months of your life through a fraudulent healthcare system.  I'm running to lead as leaders should.  You can keep voting for attorneys, doctors, and actors; and you'll keep getting the same insults to your intelligence and your wallet. I'm running because I'm ashamed of this government and the direction of this country. You and I should justifiably fear for our children’s choices, safety, and opportunities in the next generation.

I hope that’s given you a general feeling about who I am, the way I think and how I feel.  I rely on sarcasm to describe the hypocrisy of our system to try and keep the reading interesting, but it’s obvious our system is out of control, as well as our cultural ethics in terms of corporate greed.  The trend in this state and this country has to change.  It will only change by all of YOU taking an active role in changing the stereotype leaders we presently elect, to people who can actually lead.  I’m Mark Serati… and I’m running for the Governor of Missouri in 2008.  I thank you for your time and interest in restoring true opportunity, values and freedom to our Nation.
